First Austin To Kick Off “For the Children”
Campaign to Assist with Border Crisis

Began August 20th and runs until the end of September, at First Austin.

Barrels will be placed around our church building to collect donations needed to assist the McAllen Food Bank and Calvary Baptist Church who are ministering to families, mostly mothers with small children.

The following items are currently needed:
New women’s athletic shoes (Sizes 5-8) New men’s athletic shoes (sizes 8-10)
New children’s athletic shoes (older children and youth)
Sweaters (small/medium sizes for adults and children)
Women's clothing and underwear (sizes 0-6) Men’s clothing (sizes 27-34)
Women's Deodorant
Various children’s clothes and underwear, including newborns
Men’s or boy’s Belts, Socks and Shoelaces, Hairnets

Backpacks
Small fleece blankets
Sippy cups

Pedialyte
Newborn Nido (zero) (powdered milk)
Granola bars
Soup bowls
Disposable spoons
Clorox, Lysol, Mops, Disposable gloves, Large trash bags
Ziploc bags (various sizes)
*Cash and gift cards are most needed now to pay for food, travel expenses (which may take up to three days), water, and cleaning/laundry supplies. Please leave donations of money and gift cards in the church business office. Checks may be made out to FBC Austin with “For the Children” in the memo line.
