Join us immediately following worship on Sunday, June 1st as we celebrate the dedication of our new fountain on the Plaza. After a long period of being turned off to comply with City of Austin water restrictions, our front doors are once again enhanced by the running water of our iconic fountain.

Thanks to two generous donations and the efforts of our Properties Committee, Green Team, volunteers, and staff, the water flows from beautiful ceramic pots and "disappears" into a storage tank using the original fountain base. With a design and operation that significantly reduces water loss by evaporation, the new fountain complies with the City of Austin Stage 2 Water Conservation Code and can run continuously.

Much of the funding for the fountain renovation was received as memorial gifts from children of church members: Terry Heller contributed in memory of her mother, Tura Hobbs, and Judy Jones contributed in memory of her parents, Wilma and Johnny Jones.

This lovely improvement will be a fabulous spot for taking photos or as a venue for congregational events, so please take time on Sunday, June 1st to celebrate the new fountain and recognize the generosity of the families and time spent by members and staff to make this project possible. FBC Senior Pastor Dr. Roger Paynter will lead the brief ceremony. All are invited!
