Experience Easter fully this year and join us as we make the journey of Holy Week together. You are warmly invited to any or all of the following services:

Palm Sunday, April 13
11 am Worship in the Sanctuary with Senior Pastor Dr. Roger Paynter. Children's Choirs will sing and wave palms to celebrate the triumphant arrival of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week. Sanctuary Choir will present Craig Courtney's stirring Holy Week Cantata, In My Place: Remembering Christ's Sacrifice of Love.

Monday-Thursday, April 14 -17
Noon Worship in the Chapel. Join us for some very special sermons featuring life transitions by the women of First Austin at our Holy Week services and then enjoy a light lunch:

Monday, April 14 - Rev. Melissa Dowling. "Transitions: Grounded, Grateful, and Growing"

Tuesday, April 15 - Ginger Young. "Transitions: Changing My Way of Thinking About the One Who Changeth Not"

Wednesday, April 16 - Rev. Ann Pittman. "Transitions: Something Just Broke"

Thursday, April 17 - Amie King. "Transitions: A State of Grace"

Good Friday, April 18
Join us at 7:30 pm for Worship in the Sanctuary with FBC Senior Pastor Dr. Roger Paynter. At the end of the service, the congregation will exit single file, dropping nails in a bucket, symbolizing that each of us is responsible for the nails driven into Jesus on the cross.

Easter Sunday, April 20
11 am Worship in the Sanctuary with Sr. Pastor Dr. Roger Paynter. Experience the rich blessings of Easter this year with a glorious message from Dr. Paynter and emotionally elevating music by the Sanctuary Choir.

Placement of Flowers on the Cross. You are invited to bring fresh flowers on Easter morning to place on the cross on the Plaza. Flowers serve as a symbol of resurrection and life and a reminder that the cross is not the end of our story.
