Bert Montgomery will be at FBC Midweek Moorings this Wednesday, June 29 with his new book, Psychic Pancakes and Communion Pizza

Bert Montgomery is a humorist, pastor, and professor who teaches sociology and religion courses at Mississippi State University, blogs regularly for the Faith Lab and occasionally for the Commercial Dispatch and MSDigitalDaily.com, and pastors the University Baptist Church in Starkville.

Bert’s writings have appeared in newspapers from Baton Rouge, LA, to Henderson, KY; in The Wittenburg Door and in Baptists Today; and from the now defunct CalebsCafe.com to the still-going-strong EthicsDaily.com. He has spoken in Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and Disciples of Christ Churches in Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. In 2008, he spoke on redemption and Johnny Cash at the 2nd Annual Pardon Johnny Cash Flower-Pickin' Festival in Starkville. Thanks to the artwork of Memphis artist Greg Cravens, Bert's book Elvis, Willie, Jesus & Me makes a delightful decorative coaster for living room coffee tables of any size.

Copies of his new book will be available for purchase and autograph.
