Extra!  Extra!  Read All About It!

Did you know that Sarah Zeringue became Mary Anna and Carrie Houston became Sarah?  Confused about whom to call when you need something pertaining to church?  Read on and it shall all become clear.

Please join us in welcoming Carrie Houston to the position of Ministry Assistant at First Austin!  We are very excited to have her sitting at the front desk, serving as the face of the church, greeting all visitors to the office.

Carrie grew-up in San Antonio, Texas, attending Churchill High School.
She felt a call to ministry her senior year.  Carrie graduated from Howard Payne University with a double major in Biblical Greek and Youth Ministry.  She completed her education with a Master of Divinity with a concentration in World Christianity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary

In her spare time, Carrie plays the violin in the Austin Civic Orchestra and is an avid runner.  She loves being part of Cantamos and enjoys sharing their love of singing, learning, and friendship.

Carrie’s job includes assisting all members and ministers with church related tasks.  She takes reservations for church events, answers phone calls, communicates with members via email, does basic website maintenance, completes clerical duties such as editing, helps coordinate events, gathers information about members who are on the prayer list, creates and distributes snack bags as needed and schedules all assistance appointments.

We are lucky to have such a capable woman manning the helm at First Austin.  Stop into the office soon and welcome Carrie.
