On Sunday, October 11, plan to spend your day downtown, enjoying Austin’s “living room.” After church that morning, enjoy lunch at one of Austin’s fine downtown restaurants, then stroll the streets with the annual Downtown Living Tour, sponsored by the Downtown Austin Neighborhood Association (DANA). See how our downtown neighbors live – and consider how our church can reach out to these neighbors.

The Downtown Living Tour is self-guided and runs from noon to 5 p.m. Registration is at Gables Park Plaza, 115 Sandra Muraida Way (near Cesar Chavez and Lamar), from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for both advance and day-of ticket sales. Parking is available for the Tour in the Gables Park Plaza parking garage.

This year's tour will feature 360 Condominiums, AMLI Downtown, AMLI on 2nd, Ashton, Austin City Lofts, Austonian sales center, Gables Park Plaza, Gables West Avenue, Plaza Lofts, Spring Condominium, and W Residences sales center.

Once ticketed, you will receive a wristband, goodie bag, and map of the tour area along with a suggested route. The tour is designed as a self-guided walking tour, and the properties are in close proximity to each other.

When you're done with the tour, relax with DANA at a Happy Hour at the Ashton 7th Floor Sky Lounge from 4 to 5:30 p.m. There will be an After Party to follow at Ligne Roset from 5 to 7 p.m. The night before the Tour, VIP ticket holders will enjoy music, food, and drinks at BoConcept from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are available through DANA's web site at www.downtownaustin.org . Prices range from $15 for the Tour itself to $30 for the Tour and VIP party. Children under 12 are free. Event proceeds benefit Ballet Austin and Humanities Texas.
