Tenebrae - Moving into the Shadows

Good Friday Worship will be at 7:30pm, April 10. We will precede worship with a church-wide dinner at 6:30pm in Fellowship Hall concluded with Communion. We will move to the Sanctuary in silence in order to bring a solemnity to the worship service. During Good Friday worship we focus on the Seven Last Words of Christ in song, dramatic presentation and video. Beginning in light and gradually extinquishing lights and candles throughout the service, we will end the service by stripping the sanctuary of its beauty and end the service in silence as we drop the nails we have carried during the week into a metal bucket to symbolize the nails being pounded into Christ’s hands and feet.
